ECYFL Futsal Academy
Our Futsal Academy is designed to give players from Kindergarten through Grade 8 the opportunity to build their soccer skills while also learning the game of Futsal. Each 55-minute session offers coaching by our qualified staff, starting with warm-ups, then individual skill/technical training, ending with a weekly scrimmage to learn team tactics and put their individual skills to work!
Who?
Players who want to build skills and learn the game. This year we have three programs:
- Kindergarten - Grade 2
- Grade 3 - Grade 4
- Grade 5 - Grade 8
All sessions are Co-ed
What?
A 13-week program, led by experienced and qualified ECYFL staff instructors, where each 55 minute session includes:
- Warm-ups
- Individual Skill Development
- Small Group Work
- Futsal Scrimmage
- Officiated by a certified Futsal referee
In addition, each player will receive an ECYFL T-shirt and their own futsal ball.
Where?
All sessions are at the Pingree School
537 Highland St.
South Hamilton, MA
When?
Sessions are each Sunday from Noon-12:55PM
Sessions are weekly starting 11/17 through 3/2 with no sessions on 12/1, 12/29 or 2/16
How much?
The registration fee of $169 covers all 13 sessions and includes a training t-shirt and futsal ball.
What else is needed?
Players should wear appropriate soccer equipment, including shorts, shin guards covered by socks, and flat-soled sneakers/indoor soccer shoes. Players should bring a water bottle.
NO outdoor cleats
NO jewelry/bracelets/watches/earrings etc.
WHY?
Futsal is the only version of indoor soccer officially recognized and approved by FIFA and USSF. It is played with a different ball on a hard surface. Its fast-paced play, 5v5 format, small play area, and lack of side boards encourage developing a good first touch, ball control, and quick decision making.
The game is the best teacher!
